If you visit the state of Georgia in the United States you will experience a state full of the culture and history of the country. If you are someone looking for the southern experience then this is the state to visit. In Georgia, there are diverse kinds of places and activities to do. Here we find beautiful state parks, beaches, charming streets, and many other things that you can experience. if you haven’t yet been to this state, then it is about time to plan a trip to this southern state.

The town of Blue Ridge is the center of art in this state. It has fondly been called the ‘Switzerland of the South’ because of the many arts and crafts galleries and live music performance you can enjoy. This small town is surrounded by wooded areas where you can have hiking trail adventures and there is also a river named Ocoee River where you and your friends and go kayaking.

Adjacent to the Calloway Gardens resort which is lush with gardens, lakes and golf courses, is the town of Pine Mountain. The town proper is where you can find things local and here you get a taste of southern cuisine at their traditional restaurants; there are also antique shops and other shops selling local items. There is no problem with accommodations since you can find many in Calloway Gardens or in the nearby city where you can rent apartments in LaGrange, GA.

Tybee island is a few hours’ drive from Savannah, which is an island of sandy beaches and sand dunes. Water and land activities are plenty in this 22 square mile island. You can also sit along the beachfront and enjoy the view from the island.

On the Cohutta Mountains of Georgia, there is Panther Creek trail where you can have a hiking trail adventure. What is great about this trail is that you can see majestic waterfalls along the way which flows in multiple tiers and ends up in a pool of clear, crisp water. If you want to spend time away from the noise of city life, then this is a great place to enjoy peace and quiet amid the relaxing sound of the waterfalls. You can spend the night camping near the falls with your friends with the many campsites on both sides of the falls.

If you love the Grand Canyon, then you will also love Georgia’s version which is the Providence Canyon located in Providence National park. During the summer months the place is bright with colors of orange, red, yellow, and purple. You can do rock climbing in these canyons.
